Mother's Day is just around the corner! If your mom is anything like my mom, I bet she likes handmade gifts. My mom, bless her heart, is STILL wearing a purple cable knit scarf that I made her when I first started knitting 6 years ago and it has definitely seen better days! I think it's about time to upgrade her to new scarf.

I stumbled upon these lovely braided skeins at at Stitches West, an annual fiber convention that takes place in Santa Clara, CA. They are called Wonderland Yarns by Frabjous Fibers. The braided skeins drew me in, the color combination made me buy! I just love the flow of the burgundy, neutrals, and tweeds. Even cuter, the names of the yarn are inspired by Alice in Wonderland. This color combination immediately made me think of my mom, who loves to wear neutrals.

The set comes with six skeins of sport weight yarn. Each skein is 86 yards, for a total of 516 yards, which is enough to create a full scarf! Using a simple double crochet and some increases and decreases, I put together this striped triangle scarf. The colors stitched together beautifully! The sport weight yarn makes it light enough to wear through the spring and could even as a wrap for summer nights. It even has a subtle scalloped edging, which I adore!

Without further ado, here is the pattern for the crochet triangle scarf! You can also download it as a PDF for free here.
